# Release notes

> What's new in each GarmentFlow release, in business terms.

This page summarizes new capabilities in each GarmentFlow release, in
business terms. Availability of individual capabilities can depend on your
plan and on whether your administrator has enabled them.

## v5.46.0 — Tech Packs and the factory work order

**Theme.** A brand's tech pack becomes a working style; the style becomes a
printable factory work order.

The [Tech Packs](/modules/tech-packs) module is the receiving side of a
brand's authored specification. A PDF, an Illustrator (`.ai`) file, or a
Techpacker `.tpv` export uploads straight to secure storage and is opened on
a review screen beside its own pages. The reviewer confirms the identity,
the colorways, the BOM lines and their links to your existing material
masters, the size-specification points and tolerances, the images that are
colorway swatches and the ones that belong to BOM rows, which instruction
pages will attach to the new style's Packing and Production Notes surfaces,
and a proposed [QC checklist](/reference/glossary#qc-checklist). Confirming
injects the pack as a new [style](/modules/styles) with all of its content
in one action — no re-key. A `.tpv` file is read rather than interpreted:
every field lands from the file directly, with no proposal step. See

The second capability rides on the first. For a tech-pack-originated style
on an order-bound MO, a new **Download PDF** action on the MO tab produces
the [factory work order (製造單)](/modules/generate-the-factory-work-order):
one A4 PDF containing the OEM's cover (order header, per-colorway ×
per-size quantity matrix, confirmed QC checklist) followed by the pack's
own pages. It is the second form of the MO document; the 8-tab Excel
workbook is the first, and both read the same confirmed data. The PDF is
generated fresh from current data each time.

Because the pack's pages carry the brand's own header and footer baked in,
every work-order generation opens a small **page trim** dialog — two
adjustable lines drawn over a live preview, up to 25% of the page height
each — so the printed factory document shows only the OEM's order band on
top. The trim is saved on the pack, so a pack you have already trimmed
opens the dialog with your last answer in place; clicking **Save &
generate** produces the PDF without further changes. The stored pack
renders are never modified.

Tech Packs is optional. Your administrator may enable it on
[Feature settings](/admin/feature-settings); it is available on certain
plans. When enabled, the **Tech Packs** entry appears in the sidebar.
